PIN and ATM Access

The PIN on all sub-account cards is set during card activation, and can be used for debit transactions.

Unfortunately, our issuing bank has restricted ATM access and cash back capabilities on sub-cards. According to our issuing bank's policies and their interpretation of federal regulations, cash access cannot be offered on cards that are not registered with a name and Social Security Number. We are currently working with the bank to see if we can bring back ATM access on sub-cards, but we do not have a timeline for when a final decision will be made.

If one of your sub-cardholders needs cash access, we recommend that they sign up for their own, primary Akimbo Card. You are able to send money to other primary Akimbo Cardholders, just as easily as you can send money to your sub-cards.
