Initiating a "bank-to-card" transfer is easy, but it is best to plan ahead. If you haven't already done so, you must first link a bank account to your Akimbo Card. After you have successfully connected your bank account, you can then schedule transfers to and from that bank account, as well as send money to other cardholders from your bank account.
Loading your card with a "bank-to-card" transfer is always free. It's also free to send money to other cards from your linked bank accounts. You may schedule up to two (2) transfers per day, any additional transfers will be denied, but they can be scheduled for a future date. The max transfer amount is $1,000.00 per transaction and $2,500.00 per month.
Money transfers initiated with your Akimbo account take 2 full banking days, but you can set up recurring and future transfers. For a full schedule of bank transfer times, please click here.
Please note that if you need to transfer money from your bank to your Akimbo Card account faster or if you'd like to transfer more than $1,000.00 at a time or more than $2,500.00 per month, you can use your Akimbo Card's direct deposit number for incoming transfers.
You'll need to initiate the transfer with your bank to your Akimbo Card's direct deposit number. To do this, you are often able to set up your Akimbo Card as an "External Bank Account" on your bank's website. You can also call your banker and ask them to send an ACH transfer. For more information on how to use your Akimbo Card's direct deposit number, please click here.
