You can withdraw cash from your Akimbo Card account at many financial institutions. These are "Over-the-Counter" or OTC cash withdrawals.
Cash Advance:
To withdraw cash at a bank, credit union, or other financial institution, you typically need to request a "cash advance" with your card. While banks often call this a "cash advance", it is simply recognized as a cash withdrawal from your Akimbo Card account and you are charged the same fee as you would be charged with a standard ATM withdrawal.
Benefits to OTC Withdrawals / Cash Advances:
The benefit to an OTC cash withdrawal is that you can withdraw a larger amount, up to $705 per transaction with the same withdrawal fee. In addition, financial institutions often do not charge for OTC withdrawals or "cash advances." OTC withdrawals are also subject to a larger daily maximum, up to $1000 per day.
